It's Monday! What are you reading?

One more week ans I'm going to tell you what I read, what I'm reading and I'm going to read.

Last week I finished Jesus loves me and I liked it. It is very funny but in some parts it's a bit sad. I also finished What I know about the little men by Juan José Millás and it was disappointing. Maybe I didn't understand the story but I had preferred the story finished in another one because the idea is really cool. The book it's about a man who sees how some little men appeared. I read very quickly and I liked the story but the end wasn't I expected.

Now, I'm reading Sunset Park by Paul Auster. I love Paul Auster's books but I didn't fell in love with this one like  in other cases such as Invisible or Broklyn Follies but I didn't reject it as The invention of solitude because I didn't like it. In this case I like the book it is very nice. I also reading What I am talking about what I talk about running, Wyrd sisters by Terry Pratchett and Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen.

In the future, I am going to read No one writes to the colonel, Solar by Ian McEwan, Never let me go by Kashuo Ishiguro, Looking for Alaska by John Green and many others :P

I hope you enjoy reading as much as I do :)

It's Monday! What are you reading?

Wow! Another week has just finished and now I am going to tell you what I was reading last week, what I am reading right now and I am going to read next.

Last week I finished Never any end to Paris by Enrique Vila-Matas. I liked the book but I didn't love it :(

This week I am reading Jesus loves me by David Safier. Very funny book and very sad for me at the same time. Also, I am reading What I talk about when I talk about running. It's a good book, it's very well written you read and you realise that you 've read 40 or 50 pages without noticing it. In addition, I'm reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen and Wyrd Sisters by Terry Prachett.

What I pretend to read next? A lot of book: Sunset Park by Paul Auster, No one writes to the coronel by García Marquez, Solar by Ian McEwan, Let me go by Kashuo Ishiguro, Looking for Alaska by John Green, etcetera.

It's Monday! What are you reading?

Well, last week I finished the book My dog tulip, which was exciting in the first and second chapter but then I lost the interest because Ackerley, the author, was telling the story about the attempts to get pregnant of the poor  Tulip and in the end of the book I got tired of it. 3 chapters talking about it! But anyway, I think Ackerley is a good author. I want to read other books of Ackerley.

Now, I am reading Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen because of the read-along hosted by Misty. I am reading Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett and I am going to finish Never any end to Paris by Vila-Matas. I gave up Les Mandarins by Simone de Beauvoir. But, later, I don't know when, I'll give it another try.

When I finish this or while I am reading this, I am going to read  No one writes to the colonel by García Marquez, What I talk about when I talk about running by Murakami and Jesus loves me by David Safier.

Book beginnings and Friday 56

Hi!

Today is Friday. At last! :) This Friday I'm going to follow the idea of A few pages more . It consists in writing the fist line of the book you are reading at this moment. I think this is a cool idea so I'm going to do this all the Fridays.

I'm reading right now 4 books, yeah, I know, too many. For this Friday, I am going to choose Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett. Here is the line:

"The wind howled. Lighting stabbed at the earth erratically. like an inefficient assasin."

Hahahahahaha Terry Pratchett is soooo funny although sometimes it's really hard for me to understand what he's saying because of the vocabulary. But I think he's a very good author, well, everybody knows that ;)

And now I am going to take this same book and turn to page 56. Find a page that grabs me and post it as it's suggested by Freda's voice in her blog. I found the idea of Freda thanks to Book Obsessed.
Here is the line:

"What he couldn't phantom was this feeling that it had depth. It seemed to contain far too much geography."

XD No matter what page you choose that you come across something funny.

It's Monday! What are you reading?

It's Monday and this is what I am reading.

This week I have finished 3 books, wow! I finished Possession. At last! :) I finished the evolution of Calpurnia Tate, a book which I liked it and I also finished My afternoons with Margueritte. My afternoons with Margueritte is a very interesting book that I read in 2 days. I highly recommend it.

What I am reading this week is Pride and Prejudice. I am reading this because of the read along hosted by Misty. I also reading Wyrd Sisters by Terry Pratchett (I am on page 87)

When I finish these two books I intend to give another chance to the  book Les Mandarins by Simone de Beauvoir. I also want to read a book by John Green and Let me go by Kashuo Ishiguro.

Jane in June

In June I am going to join to my first read along hosted by Misty  :)

A read along consists in reading a  book (in this case Pride and Prejudice) and then, discuss about it. Every week we read some chapters and give our opinion about what we have read in Misty's blog.

I think it's a great idea because you can read a book and at the same time, share your ideas with other people. Although it's not the first time I read Pride and Prejudice I have now the opportunity to read it in English and see what people think about the book.

I find difficult to read classic books because of the vocabulary but this read along is a good excuse to give it another try.

It's Monday! What are you reading?

Hi! Once and again I am going to tell you what I am reading this week.

This week I didn't finish any book but I found amazing books in the library that I really really really want to start reading. Also, I bought some books on Amazon so now I have a pile of books similar to the  photo above waiting for me to be read :)

Now I am reading Possession by A.S. Byatt (I am on page 448) It's a weighty tome that it's why it is taking me so much time to finish it. I have started reading The evolution of Calpurnia Tate by Jacqueline Kelly. It's about a girl who learns about Nature. The book is good, I hope that it doesn't disappoint me at the end.

What I intent to read next s is My afternoons with Margaritte. This book was made into a film this year . I saw the trailer and I liked it so I hope I like the book too. I also want to read An abundance of Katherines by John Green, I read it was a good book. I also interested in reading Never let me go by Kashuo Ishiguro. This book was also made into a film this year, so when I finish to read these book I will have two films to watch.

So, this is what I am reading this week. If you want to tell me what you are reading, please do it :)
