Hi everyone!!! :)
Today I want to share with you my review of a book which I've recently read. It's name is The Secret Diary of Adrian Mole, Aged 13 3/4 and it was written by
Sue Townsend who I didn't know nothing about her until now.
The story is about a boy who is 13 years old and his life: his family, his school, his problems about family and school, etc.The book is written in a Diary way which I love. I really love when a novel is written in this way because it's a different format from what I'm use to reading. It also reminds me when I wrote diaries when I was a teenager.
So, the main character, Adrian Mole writes the entries of the diary and, although we only have Adrian's perspective about what's happening you can tell what is happening in reality, that makes the book so funny.
Maybe, the language he uses when he writes I never heard in a boy, but I did in a girl. So, sometimes while I was reading some lines I imagined a girl instead of a boy, but it happened to me twice.
In sum, I really love Sue Townsend style, she expresses the ideas in a very funny way that it's impossible for me not to laugh. I think I laughed in every single page. Besides I read quite quickly in spite of having more than 200 pages.
I highly recommend it specially if you like funny stories about teenagers and their problems.
Well, this is me, but what about you?
